Towards a Healing of Culture
Contemporary creativity consists in activating, expressing, and fulfilling the universe process, the earth process, the life process, and the human process within the possibilities of our historical moment.

Thomas Berry

The Artlife process, beyond being a way of personal learning and healing, also offers ways in which the cultural models within which our individual lives take place can be re-examined, perhaps even re-invented. When life is lived more consciously and artfully, it naturally increases awareness of larger cultural patterns. Cultivating Artlife can open us to other ways of seeing and making sense of our world. Opening to such possibilities may, in turn, expand our ability to realize that our lives are in fact, art in its most elemental state.

Many of us live with feelings, questions, hopes, and fears, about our world, to which we have no ready answers. The world goes on changing, beyond our control.

How can we not just "cope" with this sometimes-demanding reality, but genuinely explore territories of loss and change, the mysteries of the unknowable and the human longing to make a contribution?

Artlife process participants are encouraged in classes, workshops and in individual sessions, to find what uniquely works, through creating Artlife projects that allow for following our true paths of inquiry and sense making, each in our own way, shape and time.
