What Does Artlife Do For Us? How Does it Work?
Artlife can be seen as a way of finding and celebrating our rich human birthright of diversity within unity. Engaging with the Artlife process is an accessible means to expand our lives' inherent potentialities; it can help mend the splits between the parts of our lives, such as between the sacred and the profane so common in contemporary society. This can include creating ceremonial rituals that honor celebrations, transitions and initiations of the life journey. The process, then becomes a willing tending of our life stages. Art created in such ways, whether a ceremony or a poem, a graduate thesis or a newly landscaped garden, invariably expresses a sense of life itself as meaningful. Artlife offers infinite opportunities to learn other and perhaps older ways of knowing. Meaninglessness inhibits all of life and is therefore equivalent to illness. Meaning makes a great many things endurable perhaps everything.
